Harbourside Houses, Castletown
Contract Value: c. £500,000
This proposal is for two new dwellings to overlook Castletown’s harbour from behind an ancient boundary wall. The houses fill a gap between new and older houses on the edge of a woodland estate.
The houses are planned to take advantage of a storey height difference in levels between front and rear with the principal living areas located at first floor level to allow access to the rear garden and views over the old wall.
The external materials are undressed local limestone recovered from demolitions elsewhere, painted render, reconstituted stone cills, lintels and arches, and painted hardwood doors and windows.
